- Review fee variation submissions, audit approaches, and supporting evidence.
- Support annual audit fee strategy, scale fee setting, and related reporting.
- Build trusted relationships with audit firms, audited bodies, and sector stakeholders.
- Provide expert technical input to discussions with national audit and professional bodies.
Key Skills:
- Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent).

This opportunity requires someone of a strong technical ability to offer strong influence across the local government landscape, to work within a team and to work closely with stakeholders in order to shape audit standards at a national level. It will offer a very flexible and generous hybrid working, with occasional travel into London when required. The role will offer a salary of up to £85,000 + benefits.
