Summary: The Interim Asset Management Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future housing strategy at Curo, focusing on operational excellence and the management of a diverse property portfolio. This strategic position involves leading the implementation of a new five-year Asset Management Strategy and ensuring compliance with housing standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Chief Property Officer, providing operational assurance and leadership.
  • Leading the implementation of the new five-year Asset Management Strategy.
  • Implementing recommendations from a gap analysis to improve performance.
  • Revising and embedding the Net Present Value (NPV) framework for asset decisions.
  • Ensuring compliance with Decent Homes standards and managing asset disposals.
  • Providing leadership for asset management teams during change, including succession planning.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Property Officer to develop sustainability initiatives.

Key Skills:

  • Professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Institute of Asset Management, RICS, CIOB) or equivalent experience.
  • Strategic leadership experience in property or asset management.
  • Proven track record in implementing asset management strategies.
  • Experience in strengthening processes and structures.
  • Strong understanding of Net Present Value (NPV) modelling for housing assets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Reporting to the Chief Property Officer, providing both operational assurance and forward-looking leadership during this important transition
  • Leading the implementation of our new five-year Asset Management Strategy, turning plans into practical action
  • Implementing recommendations from our recent gap analysis and creating measurable improvements in performance
  • Revising and embedding our Net Present Value (NPV) framework to support intelligent asset decisions
  • Ensuring compliance with Decent Homes standards and managing our asset disposals programme through to March 2026
  • Providing stable leadership for our asset management teams during a period of change, including succession planning for permanent roles
  • Working with the Chief Property Officer to develop our sustainability agenda, prioritising improvements that contribute to energy efficiency targets

You're an experienced asset management leader who thrives in change environments and brings fresh thinking to established teams. You're strategic, data-driven and financially astute, with the ability to make sound investment decisions while bringing people with you through change.

Essential:

  • Professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Institute of Asset Management, RICS, CIOB) or equivalent experience
