The Client
Harmonic is delighted to be partnering with a well-established creative business that delivers high-quality projects and live brand experiences for a portfolio of well-known consumer brands.
They operate at the premium end of their market, where craft and quality matter, and take pride in bespoke, made-to-order work.
With the finance team evolving, they are looking for a reliable Accounts Assistant to come in and keep things running smoothly through a busy period.
The Role
Reporting to and working alongside the Management Accountant, this is a hands-on, transactional finance role supporting a small, close-knit team based on-site in South West London.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day accounts payable and input work: posting purchase invoices, processing timesheets, and handling company credit card and expense reconciliations, keeping the finance function moving while the team finalises its longer-term structure.
It is an immediate-start temporary contract with genuine potential to extend, or to convert to a permanent role, for someone who does a great job.
The business runs on Xero.
Key Responsibilities
- Post and process purchase invoices accurately and to deadline.
- Process weekly timesheets and reconcile against records.
- Manage company credit card and staff expense reconciliations.
- Support the wider accounts payable cycle, including payment runs and supplier queries.
- Keep the finance inbox and records tidy and up to date.
- Provide day-to-day support to the Management Accountant and wider finance team.
- Help keep things on track through month-end and busier periods.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable, or transactional finance role.
- Confident posting and processing invoices, and comfortable with the core AP cycle.
- Reliable and able to hit the ground running with minimal training.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication.
- Available to start at short notice and to be on-site in South West London 5 days per week.
Desirable Experience
- Experience using Xero (or a similar accounting package; the core skills transfer).
- Exposure to timesheet processing, or to a project-based or creative business.
Contract: 3-month temporary contract, with genuine potential to extend or go permanent
Location
On-site in Wimbledon, London, 5 days per week. Well served by the District line and Overground.
Start Date: ASAP, ideally week commencing 22 September
