Summary: The role of Interim Qualified Accountant involves supporting the month-end close process and improving financial workflows within a growing Tech firm. The position requires proactive engagement in technical accounting queries and collaboration with the wider business for enhanced reporting. This is a 3-month contract with a high likelihood of extension or a potential permanent opportunity. The role allows for a hybrid working arrangement with four days at home and one day in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journals and reconciliations
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, automate processes and streamline finance workflows
- Taking ownership of key financial processes and helping the team operate more efficiently
- Acting as a point of contact for technical accounting queries where required
- Supporting year-end audit preparation and queries
- Working with the wider business to improve reporting and financial visibility
- Assisting with analysis and reporting to support business decision making
Key Skills:
- Proactive and good at giving solutions
- Confident and outstanding communication skills
- Qualified in either the ACA/ACCA/CA
- Month end ownership

- Exposure to BI reporting tools
- Advanced Excel skills such as Power Query, VBA or Macros
