Summary: This role seeks an Interaction Designer to join a new team focused on advancing digital strategy within the Defence sector. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in accessibility, particularly in agile environments adhering to GDS standards. Responsibilities include collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, designing data-driven solutions, and championing accessibility initiatives. Active SC clearance is a prerequisite for applicants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary team members to develop a strong understanding of user needs
- Design data-led solutions using elements of data analysis (e.g., tabular, data charts, and data libraries)
- Liaise with Accessibility leaders to raise awareness of accessibility in the defence sector
- Participate in the Cross Government Accessibility Leader network
- Run digital service assessments to ensure accessibility
- Champion accessibility within Digital communities

Responsibilities

- Design data-led solutions using elements of data analysis (eg., tabular, data charts and data libraries)
- Liaising with Accessibilities leaders, who are responsible for raising awareness of accessibility in the defence sector, empowering accessibility services and participating in Cross Government Accessibility Leader network
- Play a significant role in running digital service assessments to ensure accessibility
- Work effectively with Digital communities to champion accessibility
