Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with user researchers, content designers, service designers, and performance analysts.
  • Develop designs based on evidence of user needs and organizational outcomes.
  • Ensure the interface is easy to use and navigate.
  • Interpret evidence-based research and incorporate findings into design work.
  • Collaborate with product managers, digital service managers, business analysts, and user researchers.
  • Refine services in response to changes in policy, legislation, technology, or user requirements.

Role Purpose / Summary

An interaction designer works out the best way to let users interact with services, in terms of both overall flow and at the level of individual design elements. You will be helping users to complete tasks quickly and accurately. Good Interaction Design ensures that users have a positive experience with a product or service. Satisfied users are more likely to continue using a product and recommend it to others. Recent times have taught us that working remotely is a successful way of collaborating, but on occasion you will be asked to attend other locations in the UK for short periods.

  • Work collaboratively with user researchers, content designers, service designers and performance analysts as well as with software developers, policy and legal teams
  • Develop designs based on evidence of user needs and organisational outcomes. Ensuring that the interface is easy to use and navigate.
  • Interpret evidence-based research and incorporate this into your work
  • Work with the product manager, digital service manager, business analysts and user researchers
  • To refine the services in light of external factors such as changes To policy, legislation, technology or user requirements
