Summary: The Integration Solution Architect will lead the design and delivery of complex integration solutions across various internal and third-party systems. This role requires collaboration with engineering teams, enterprise architecture, and external partners to establish integration standards and guide API and middleware development. The position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, based in Manchester with a hybrid working arrangement. The salary is negotiable based on experience, with a maximum of £84,000 plus a car allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define integration strategy and deliver end-to-end integration designs
- Work with internal teams and external partners to align technology solutions
- Develop and refine integration design patterns and reference architectures
- Produce both high-level and low-level technical design documentation
- Provide design assurance on integrations and migrations
- Lead API design, middleware architecture, and messaging patterns
- Support hands-on PoC work to validate integration approaches
Key Skills:
- 5+ years leading enterprise grade integration or solution architecture
- Experience working in fast-paced lean or agile DevOps environments
- Good understanding of enterprise, data, network and security architecture
- Strong experience with AWS and Azure (AWS S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, Azure Entra ID, Azure SQL, Data Factory, Integration Services)
- Strong skills in API and integration technologies (REST, middleware)
- Ability to produce robust architectural documentation
- Strong security focus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Deep knowledge of integration methods, API management, middleware, and enterprise integration solutions
- AWS or Microsoft Azure certification
- Strong experience with AWS services: S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, MSK
- Experience with Microsoft Azure SQL, Analysis Services, and Azure Data Factory
- Knowledge of Microsoft ExpressRoute
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- SAFe 6.0 Agilist certification (or strong understanding of lean/agile frameworks)
