Integration Developer - Temporary (up to 24 months)

Summary: The Integration Developer role is a temporary position focused on designing, developing, and implementing APIs to enhance data services for the RNLI. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure effective data integration and synchronization while adhering to security protocols. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement and is part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to saving lives at sea.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement robust APIs for data exchange between software systems.
• Create API specifications, documentation, and guidelines for effective usage.
• Collaborate with business analysts and IT teams to gather integration requirements.
• Build integrations for real-time data synchronization and process automation.
• Identify and resolve API integration issues in collaboration with development teams.
• Ensure security protocols and authentication mechanisms are in place for API interactions.
• Manage the lifecycle of APIs including testing, monitoring, and versioning.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as an API Integration Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in API development using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
• Familiarity with API management tools like Postman and Gravitee.
• Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, and synchronization techniques.
• Problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving integration issues.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
