Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Efficiency Product Owner in delivering data-driven, optimized energy nodes for vehicle efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to deliver vehicle programs according to the Quality Operating Schedule.
  • Identify risks and opportunities using data to inform business decisions related to vehicle energy nodes.
  • Facilitate scrum events and support squads in planning and sharing work.
  • Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Identify and facilitate the removal of impediments and risks.
  • Coordinate and contribute to vehicle efficiency attribute verifications and data analysis.
  • Support effective governance of vehicle efficiency attributes throughout programs.
  • Collaborate with tools and methods teams to support the development of vehicle efficiency attributes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement project work as time allows.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the line manager.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of Agile operating principles.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Methodical and structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
  • Degree level education, ideally in Mechanical or System Engineering.
  • Technical engineering background (preferred).
  • Experience in vehicle attribute and/or system delivery (preferred).

About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Gaydon, who are seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer to join their team

Responsibilities:

  • The Integrated Energy Management Lead Engineer will take a leading role in:

  • Supporting the Efficiency Product Owner in the delivery of data-driven, intelligent, optimised energy nodes (sources of energy conversion) in pursuit of Vehicle Efficiency attributes (eg. real world and homologated driving range and energy consumption) befitting modern luxury.

  • Collaborating with a wide range of business stakeholders and Engineers to deliver vehicle programmes against the teams Quality Operating Schedule (QOS; the Clients' framework for attribute delivery).

  • Identifying risks and opportunities in a robust data-driven manner with the purpose of informing and influencing business decisions and engineering direction related to vehicle energy nodes.

  • Reporting to the Vehicle Architecture's Efficiency Product Owner and working within the Clients' Agile operating model, responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting squads to plan and share work through facilitating focused and engaging scrum events

  • Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

  • Identifying and facilitating in the removal of impediments and risks

  • Facilitating stakeholder collaboration wherever required

  • Coordinating and contributing towards Vehicle Efficiency attribute verifications and data analysis

  • Supporting effective Vehicle Efficiency attribute governance throughout vehicle programmes, identifying and making recommendations for how to handle risks and opportunities as they arise

  • Collaborating with tools and methods teams to support development of Vehicle Efficiency attribute

  • Where programme delivery imperatives allow, contribute and add value to continuous improvement project work

  • Undertaking any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge and/or experience of working with Agile operating principles

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Evidence of a methodical, structured approach to problem solving

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to use data and visualisations to articulate complex risks, opportunities and recommendations in an easily digestible way

  • Educated to Degree level (ideally with a focus on Mechanical or System Engineering)

Experience Preferred:

  • Technical engineering background

  • Experience of Vehicle attribute and/or vehicle system delivery
