Key Responsibilities:
- Strong Nutanix NC2 / AOS / AHV knowledge (Prism Central/Element, LCM upgrades)
- Solid VM lifecycle understanding (create/start/stop/delete, snapshot, clone, templates)
- Networking: VPCs, VLANs/subnets, east-west connectivity, micro-segmentation (Nutanix Flow, NSX DFW concepts)
- DR & resilience: Nutanix Leap, replication, planned/unplanned failover, failback, RPO/RTO, subset failover
- Security: RBAC, AD/Entra ID integration, encryption at rest, network security policies, CyberArk, SIEM (Sentinel/Defender)
- Ops tooling: monitoring and alerting in Prism/x-play, Cohesity backups, alert forwarding into tools like OpsRamp
- Migration: Nutanix Move from ESX, restore from backup
- Test strategy and planning for infra/DR/security/ops
- Ability to define/own test plans, entry/exit criteria, and traceability
- Strong vendor governance: review/critique vendor test coverage, identify gaps, insist on evidence
- Experience designing DR, negative, and operational readiness tests (restart sequencing, backup/restore, alerts)
- Clear communication and challenge skills to have meaningful, technical conversations with vendors and stakeholders
