Summary: The Testing Specialist role involves leading testing and quality assurance efforts for infrastructure, disaster recovery, security, and operations within a Nutanix environment. The position requires strong technical skills in Nutanix systems and a solid understanding of VM lifecycle management, networking, and security protocols. The role is based in London and requires three days of on-site work per week. The contract is set to start in early May and end on 30th November 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test strategies and plans for infrastructure, disaster recovery, security, and operations.
- Define and own test plans, entry/exit criteria, and ensure traceability.
- Review and critique vendor test coverage, identifying gaps and insisting on evidence.
- Design and execute disaster recovery, negative, and operational readiness tests.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and stakeholders to facilitate technical discussions.
- Utilize strong Nutanix knowledge for monitoring, alerting, and migration tasks.
- Manage VM lifecycle operations including creation, deletion, and snapshot management.
- Implement security measures and operational tooling for effective monitoring.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Nutanix NC2, AOS, and AHV.
- Understanding of VM lifecycle management.
- Networking skills including VPCs, VLANs, and micro-segmentation.
- Experience with disaster recovery and resilience strategies.
- Knowledge of security protocols and tools such as RBAC and CyberArk.
- Ability to lead testing and QA initiatives effectively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong Nutanix NC2 / AOS / AHV knowledge (Prism Central/Element, LCM upgrades)
- Solid VM lifecycle understanding (create/start/stop/delete, snapshot, clone, templates)
- Networking: VPCs, VLANs/subnets, east-west connectivity, micro?segmentation (Nutanix Flow, NSX DFW concepts)
- DR & resilience: Nutanix Leap, replication, planned/unplanned failover, failback, RPO/RTO, subset failover
- Security: RBAC, AD/Entra ID integration, encryption at rest, network security policies, CyberArk, SIEM (Sentinel/Defender)
- Ops tooling: monitoring and alerting in Prism/x?play, Cohesity backups, alert forwarding into tools like OpsRamp
