Summary: The Insurance Placement Broker role involves supporting network brokers in placing commercial and personal lines business efficiently within the market. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to broker queries and placement requests promptly, professionally, and in line with agreed SLAs.
- Take full ownership of broker enquiries and quotation requests, adopting a proactive “can-do” approach to resolution.
- Provide technical guidance and market insight to support brokers with both commercial and personal lines placements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with network brokers, ensuring consistent engagement and high levels of satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all broker interactions and activity on internal systems.
- Arrange and conduct regular meetings with brokers (virtual, telephone, or face-to-face where appropriate).
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Commercial or personal lines insurance or related Insurance administration roles.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with broker clients.
- Solid understanding of FCA compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance products, insurer market appetite and market practices.
- Experience using Acturis (ideally) and/or familiarity with broking and insurer systems.
