Summary: The Instrument Technician role is based in Hampshire and requires the technician to work on-site five days a week for an initial six-month contract. The position demands extensive maintenance experience with instruments and electrical equipment in safety-critical environments, particularly in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors. The role offers a competitive hourly rate outside of IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on installed instrument and electrical equipment.
- Work within a safety-critical environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct Fire & Gas testing and understand the operation of various systems.
- Utilize knowledge of IEC 60079 and maintain CompEx 01-04 certification.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in relevant equipment.
- Experience in safety-critical environments (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical).
- Instrument qualification (apprenticeship or NVQ level 3) with electrical knowledge.
- Proficiency in Fire & Gas testing.
- Knowledge of IEC 60079 and valid CompEx 01-04 certification.
