Summary: The L3 Insider Threat Engineering Lead - DLP role at WTW is focused on managing a diverse team responsible for the effective operation of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform within the Cyber Defence department. This position requires extensive experience in building and leading engineering teams, particularly with the Microsoft Security stack, including Purview DLP. The role involves developing strategies to prevent data loss and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. The successful candidate will report to the Global Head of Insider Threat and play a critical role in enhancing the organization's insider threat capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountability for the technical management, troubleshooting and administration of the DLP platform.
  • Lead and manage the Insider Threat Engineering team aligned to DLP, providing guidance, coaching and support.
  • Work closely with the L1 Insider Threat Manager and Global Head of Insider Threat to develop and refine strategies, rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Produce a technical roadmap aligned to the overall Cyber Security strategy.
  • Ensure DLP policies are fine-tuned to reduce false positives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce data protection and insider risk requirements.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the Insider Threat Engineering - DLP function for continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on team performance and effectiveness.
  • Identify trends and drive requirements for improving existing DLP policies.
  • Be an integral part of projects enhancing insider threat and data protection policies.
  • Perform other relevant tasks as designated by the Global Head of Insider Threat.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth experience managing Insider Threat and DLP engineering teams in a global enterprise organization.
  • Solid engineering knowledge of the Microsoft Security stack, particularly Purview DLP, IRM, and Defender.
  • Relevant Microsoft qualifications in Purview DLP, IRM, and Defender.
  • Understanding of data protection laws and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
