As a contract Administrator, you are hired to manage, maintain, and support an organisation's technology infrastructure on a day-to-day basis. The scope of work typically covers user account management, system configuration, hardware and software provisioning, network administration, and first and second line support escalation. Contract engagements arise most commonly to cover staff absences, provide additional capacity during periods of high demand, or support specific infrastructure projects such as a system migration or office relocation.
