Summary: The Infrastructure Technical Architect will design, implement, and manage IT systems, ensuring alignment between technical and business needs. This role involves overseeing projects from inception to completion while focusing on infrastructure, storage, and networking solutions. The architect will also provide technical guidance and ensure system performance and security. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, particularly in Linux systems and multiplatform tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IT systems, taking into account infrastructure, storage, and networking.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms.
- Define and document the overall solution architecture.
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and security.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to the solution.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in systems design.
- Strong knowledge of IT, including a comprehensive understanding of infrastructure technologies such as Storage, Network (N/W), Active Directory (AD), Unix, and on-premises & enterprise technologies.
- Proficiency in Word/MS Office, and Visio.
- Knowledge of Linux (Primary) & Windows systems, especially in the areas of Storage & Backup, would be beneficial.
- Awareness of cybersecurity.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems creatively.
- Familiarity with Veritas & ComVault plus other multiplatform tools.
