Summary: The Infrastructure Support Engineer role involves providing support for a secure infrastructure estate used for cyber security testing and related activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver BAU support across cyber security infrastructure services, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning of physical and virtual infrastructure.
  • Operate and support Azure and Azure Local platforms, as well as provide support for Active Directory, Entra ID, VPN, and VDI services.
  • Maintain secure and resilient infrastructure through network support, vulnerability remediation, backup and recovery processes, and compliance activities.
  • Work within established service management processes and approved technical designs.
  • Contribute to wider infrastructure operations as required.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting infrastructure in BAU operational environments (physical, virtual, or hybrid platforms).
  • Experience supporting secure or segregated infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on experience with on-premises and/or hybrid platforms.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows Server workloads.
  • Experience supporting VPN and secure remote access solutions.
  • Working within ITIL-aligned environments (ITIL qualification desirable).
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure security, remediation, and compliance.

Infrastructure Support Engineer – Security Clearance Required – 6-Month Initial Contract – £550 p/d (Outside IR35) Security Clearance Required* We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a globally recognised organisation, supporting a secure, segregated infrastructure estate used for cyber security testing, forensic analysis, training, and controlled research. The Infrastructure Support Engineer will ensure services are secure, available, compliant, and operationally supportable, working within established service management processes and approved technical designs. This role plays a key part in maintaining and improving critical infrastructure platforms. In addition to supporting the cyber security lab environment, the role may also contribute to wider infrastructure operations as required. The successful candidate will deliver BAU support across cyber security infrastructure services, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning of physical and virtual infrastructure. You will operate and support Azure and Azure Local platforms, as well as provide support for Active Directory, Entra ID, VPN, and VDI services, including secure user administration and remote access. You will also maintain secure and resilient infrastructure through network support, vulnerability remediation, backup and recovery processes, and compliance activities.
