Summary: The Infrastructure Storage Engineer (Windows and Linux) role involves supporting a complex IT environment for a manufacturing plant, focusing on managing servers, storage, and backup systems. The position requires expertise in both Linux and Windows systems, as well as experience with Dell storage solutions. This is a 12-month hybrid contract based in Solihull, requiring 1-2 days per week in the office. The role is part of a contingent workforce solution for a client developing innovative technologies for sustainable power needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing servers, storage systems, and backups.
• Working with both Linux and Windows servers, including resolving server-related issues and building/configuring new virtual servers.
• Managing and administrating Dell storage systems (SAN & NAS), provisioning new LAN for physical servers, and performing file recovery and general storage tasks.
• Ensuring successful backups and handling storage maintenance and recovery processes.
• Providing expert administration for VMware, MS Windows, and Linux systems, including patching and troubleshooting.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience with Dell storage systems (SAN & NAS).
• Solid experience in Linux and Windows server environments (MS Windows Administration and Linux Administration).
• Experience in VMware management & administration.
• Solid experience with Backup administration.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux patching.
• Ability to handle physical deployment of storage solutions and manage data center-related operational systems.
