Summary: The Infrastructure Server Engineer role involves joining a global technology team within a leading financial services organization, focusing on hands-on infrastructure solutions across various environments. The role is hybrid, requiring three days onsite in London, and is classified as inside IR35 for a contract duration of 6-12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support infrastructure solutions across Windows, Linux, networking, and IoT environments
- Deliver Proof of Concepts (PoCs), technology evaluations, and infrastructure enhancements
- Troubleshoot complex issues and perform detailed root cause analysis
- Work closely with Network, Security, Risk, and Engineering teams on deployments and integrations
- Support cloud-connected services, APIs, SaaS platforms, and authentication technologies
- Manage infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and rollout projects
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams
Key Skills:
- Strong Windows and Linux server administration experience
- Excellent networking and security knowledge
- Automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Shell, or Perl)
- Experience with cloud technologies, APIs, SAML, and OIDC
- Knowledge of IoT/OT devices and enterprise infrastructure environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven ability to work across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment

We're supporting a leading global financial services organisation in the search for an experienced Infrastructure Server Engineer to join a global technology team supporting EMEA, North America, and Singapore.
This is a hands-on role for a strong infrastructure generalist with expertise across servers, networking, automation, and cloud technologies. We're looking for someone who is analytical, methodical, and naturally focused on identifying the root cause of issues rather than simply fixing symptoms.
