We're supporting a major enterprise organisation on a strategic technology transformation initiative and are seeking an experienced Strategy Consultant/Lead Business Analyst to help shape the future of its testing, hosting, resilience and disaster recovery capabilities.
This 3-4 month contract engagement will focus on defining an enterprise-wide resilience strategy across a complex technology estate, assessing how services should be delivered across on-premise, off-premise/cloud and hybrid environments.
The successful candidate will help determine the future operating model for hosting, disaster recovery and testing services while balancing business requirements, operational risk, resilience and cost.
This is a highly visible role requiring someone who can operate at both strategic and technical levels, engaging senior stakeholders, working with incomplete information, and producing pragmatic, evidence-based recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current testing, hosting and resilience capabilities.
- Define future business, operational and technical requirements.
- Develop service segmentation models across on-premise, cloud and hybrid hosting environments.
- Evaluate disaster recovery, operational resilience and service continuity requirements.
- Assess which service categories are best suited to on-premise, off-premise/cloud or hybrid delivery models.
- Support supplier engagement and RFI activities.
- Evaluate strategic options and develop evidence-based recommendations.
- Produce executive-level recommendations, operating principles and implementation roadmaps.
Experience Required
- Must be eligible for a counter terrorism check
- Lead Business Analyst, Principal Business Analyst or Technology Strategy Consultant background.
- Strong experience across infrastructure, hosting, data centres and cloud transformation.
- Experience with disaster recovery, operational resilience or technology resilience programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience delivering strategic assessments, target operating models or transformation roadmaps within large enterprise environments.
- Ability to work effectively where documentation, data and current-state knowledge are incomplete.
Desirable
- Experience within complex, highly regulated or critical-operating environments.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud, enterprise testing environments and service continuity programmes.
- Previous supplier evaluation or RFI experience.
