Summary: The Infrastructure Project Manager will lead and deliver high-impact infrastructure projects, focusing on data centre migrations, cloud transformations, and corporate IT initiatives. This role demands an experienced professional capable of navigating complex technical environments and delivering immediate value in fast-paced settings. The position is classified as outside IR35, indicating a favorable tax status for contractors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects while ensuring compliance with IT governance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of technical infrastructure projects, including data centre migrations and consolidations, cloud platform migrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and broader corporate IT change projects (e.g., endpoint deployments, M365 rollouts, network upgrades).
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including engineers, architects, vendors, and senior management.
- Ensure risk management, quality assurance, and compliance with IT governance policies.
- Manage project reporting, stakeholder communication, and post-project reviews.
- Proactively identify and resolve project roadblocks.
- Work in fast-paced environments with minimal onboarding time.
Key Skills:
- Proven track record delivering end-to-end data centre migrations (on-prem and hybrid environments).
- Hands-on experience with cloud migrations (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), preferably involving Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Broad understanding of corporate IT infrastructure, including networking, storage, servers, identity & access management, and end-user computing.
- Strong project management methodology knowledge.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and vendor coordination experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
