Summary: The Infrastructure Engineering Team Leader will oversee a skilled team of infrastructure engineers within a global investment management company. This role focuses on leading infrastructure projects, team development, and ensuring alignment with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in managing IT systems across various platforms. This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract based in the City of London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers.
• Oversee IT infrastructure projects, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery.
• Manage contracts, licenses, and vendor relationships.
• Drive automation, cloud adoption, and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver best-in-class IT services.

Key Skills:

• 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including Windows, Linux, and virtualization.
• 2+ years in a leadership or management role (this role is mainly hands on).
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, cloud, and automation tools (eg, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible).
• Skilled in additional areas of infrastructure with skills in at least 2 other domains (Citrix/Azure/SAN/Exchange/AWS).
• Experience with vendor management and cost optimization.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for driving change and innovation.
