Summary: The M365 Infrastructure Engineer role involves supporting a large-scale Microsoft 365 implementation and infrastructure transition for a key client in London. The engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and support of Microsoft 365 technologies in a hybrid cloud environment. This position requires a strong background in Microsoft 365 infrastructure engineering and cloud services migration. The role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 infrastructure, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, and Teams.
  • Support the migration from on-premises environments (e.g., Exchange, SharePoint) to M365 cloud-based services.
  • Implement and maintain Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance.
  • Manage M365 security, compliance, and data governance features.
  • Provide technical leadership on M365-related infrastructure projects and BAU support.
  • Support the configuration and integration of Intune for device management and compliance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely resolutions.
  • Document configurations, policies, and procedures for future maintenance and audits.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in Microsoft 365 infrastructure engineering and cloud services migration.
  • Strong working knowledge of: Exchange Online / Hybrid Exchange, SharePoint Online & OneDrive, Microsoft Teams administration, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with M365 Security & Compliance Centre, DLP, eDiscovery, and Defender for M365.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft licensing models and tenant-level configuration.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based service environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
