Summary: The Infrastructure Consultant role focuses on delivering a VMware and Cisco-based private cloud deployment for a key customer. The consultant will engage in design workshops, produce documentation, and oversee the build, migration, and handover processes. Collaboration with the customer's technical team is essential to ensure a successful deployment. The position is contract-based for 20 days and requires expertise in VMware and Cisco technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client technical workshops to validate the High-Level Design (HLD).
- Produce and present a Low-Level Design (LLD) for customer approval.
- Capture requirements across compute, storage, networking, security, and migration.
- Deploy and configure Cisco UCS C-Series servers, including firmware, VIC cards, and storage setup.
- Install and configure VMware ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN, including disk group configuration and baseline cluster policies.
- Configure Cisco Nexus 3524 switches (VLANs, routing, VPN, firewall integration, and load balancer connectivity).
- Plan and execute migration of existing VMs into the new eCloud private environment.
- Carry out Service Acceptance Testing (SAT) and remediate issues.
- Update the LLD with the final build configuration.
- Deliver solution handover sessions and knowledge transfer to the customer.
