Infrastructure Engineer required for a leading financial services based in the city of London.

Engagement is via umbrella company only.
Hybrid working - 2-3 days per week on site.

This is a Technical Specialist role within a Platform Operations team. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and operational support across a wide range of infrastructure platforms and services, supporting the aims and objectives of the overall Technology function.

As part of the Infrastructure Operation team providing operational support and maintenance for on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure services.

General responsibilities: -

• Contribute to the (infrastructure) security, availability, integrity and day-to-day support of the core infrastructure services, to include Cloud and on-premise technologies.
• Ownership of IT infrastructure operations, support and project related activities.
• Monitor & manage infrastructure related requests and escalations for other teams.
• Optimisation, monitoring, maintenance and improvement of all infrastructure services, providing an efficient, reliable, and secure infrastructure that follows industry best practice.

Skills & Experience required:

• Relevant experience as an infrastructure and/or operational Support Engineer
• Windows (Enterprise) platform management
• Maintain and create comprehensive documentation
• Windows Server Administration up to 2022
• Azure
• Hyperconverged hosting platforms eg Nutanix
• VMware Sys Admin
• Backup and Recovery tools
• Config Management tools SCCM etc
• PowerShell
