Summary: The Infrastructure Delivery Lead will oversee the delivery of complex infrastructure projects for a Train Operating Company, ensuring compliance with UK rail industry standards. This role requires effective stakeholder coordination and project management from planning to completion. The successful candidate will also mentor project teams and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of complex infrastructure projects for a Train Operation company, from planning through to completion.
  • Ensure effective coordination between multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including defining scope, setting timelines, and establishing key milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all delivery complies with UK rail industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify risks and issues early, providing mitigation strategies and ensuring that resolutions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, budget status, and any potential concerns or deviations from the plan.
  • Oversee the commissioning and handover processes, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and are fully operational.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working client side within the rail sector
  • Knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
  • Obtained or working towards EngTech, IEng, CEng or Equivalent.
  • A PRINCE2 Practitioner/ APM PMQ qualification or equivalent.
  • A postgraduate University degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Business or significant operational experience.
