Infrastructure Cloud Project Manager (Outside IR35)

Role Description We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Cloud Project Manager to lead the delivery of cloud infrastructure initiatives, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in enterprise-scale infrastructure programs, Azure cloud environments, and Agile delivery frameworks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, and ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex infrastructure and cloud transformation projects.
• Oversee Azure-based infrastructure design, migration, implementation, and optimization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, budgets, and reporting packs.
• Manage Azure DevOps boards for backlog grooming, sprint planning, and progress tracking.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Coordinate internal technical teams, third-party vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure effective governance, risk management, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Provide clear executive-level reporting on project status, risks, dependencies, and financials.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and cloud governance practices.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, and team members.
• Provide regular updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.

Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 10 years’ experience managing IT infrastructure projects. Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience delivering projects within the Microsoft Azure platform. Minimum 5 years’ experience using Azure DevOps, specifically for board management and Agile tracking. Demonstrated experience managing cloud infrastructure projects including migrations, hybrid environments, and enterprise-scale deployments. Strong experience delivering projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proven track record of managing cross-functional technical teams. Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and financial tracking. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management certification. Experience in enterprise or multi-site global environments. ITIL certification or experience working within IT Service Management frameworks.

Key Competencies Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on infrastructure projects. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Azure cloud computing, Sharepoint and Identity. Experience with project management tools and methodologies (especially Azure DevOps). Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Rate The day rate is £450-500 depending on experience
