Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Automation Engineer - Linux - Python/Perl - HTTP - SSL - Web - Load Balancing / F5 Contract - 12 months *** Hybrid working 3 days in London Leading Financial Services client is looking for an Infrastructure Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. The team is also responsible for integrating load-balancer components into their centralized self-service configuration management & monitoring systems. A successful applicant will contribute to several important initiatives, including their ultra-low-latency trade plant renovation and infrastructure modernisation strategy, engineering efficient, scalable application delivery solutions for their trading systems and private cloud hosting platform services. Prior experience deploying and managing large scale web or network infrastructure (ideally F5 or A10 load-balancer appliances) is preferable.
Skills and experience required:
- Infrastructure automation and integration experience using Perl, Python and/or Shell Scripting languages, as well as Ansible or Terraform tools
- O/S and networking concepts: Linux/Unix system administration, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL and other related protocols
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced enterprise environment
- Comfortable working with a Linux-based command line
- Working knowledge of F5 or A10 load-balancer configuration and APIs (F5's iControl and iRules or A10 axAPI and aflex rules)
- Experience with distributed web applications and working knowledge of their underlying infrastructure components
