Summary: The Infrastructure Automation Engineer role involves collaborating with a diverse team to enhance platform applications on an alternative Cloud provider. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a diverse team of disciplines, skills, and experience.
- Work on an existing project to enable current platform applications on an alternative Cloud provider.
- Analyse, propose, and implement Infrastructure Automation and deployment solutions.
- Design and implement Infrastructure Automation solutions using Terraform.
- Work on pipeline integration and automation tooling for build and deployment automation.
- Use Scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python) to build utilities to support the project.
- Work with GitHub Webhooks, APIs, and GitHub Actions to enable CI/CD workflows.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise deployment performance.
- Manage and resolve security and configuration violations in automated build configurations.
Key Skills:
- Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with any cloud provider (Azure preferred).
- Familiarity with GitHub Webhooks, APIs, and optionally GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows.
- Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins (Groovy pipelines) and Ansible.
- Understanding of Infrastructure Automation and deployment processes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- General technical tooling experience (e.g., scripting, Python).
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps as a CI/CD platform is a benefit.
- Experience working with Databricks, ideally Azure Databricks (nice to have).
- Problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
- Ability to work under time pressure and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience working in Agile teams with strong self-organisation and inter-team communication.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
