Summary: The Infrastructure Architect role focuses on delivering secure, enterprise-grade solutions within a high-profile project team. The position requires expertise in design, build, and delivery across complex environments, with a strong emphasis on VMware technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating designs, leading technical solutions, and troubleshooting across various platforms. Active DV clearance is a prerequisite for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating High Level Designs, Low Level Designs, BOMs and detailed support documentation
- Leading the delivery of technical solutions through design and build phases
- Working across virtualisation platforms with a strong focus on VMware vSphere 6.7/7
- Supporting fault finding, performance optimisation and resolution of ESX issues
- Designing and supporting enterprise storage solutions including Veeam, NetApp, iSCSI, FC and NFS
- Troubleshooting across Microsoft stacks including Windows Server 2019
Key Skills:
- VMware expert with extensive VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience
- Strong knowledge of NSX and vSAN technologies
- Proven track record in storage solutions, ideally with Veeam and NetApp
- Splunk experience desirable
- VCP-DCV certification is an advantage (VCP5/6 or newer)
- MCSE or equivalent experience welcomed
