Summary: The Infrastructure Architect role requires experienced professionals with active DV clearance to design, test, and implement secure, enterprise-scale solutions. This hands-on position involves collaboration with Network Architects and Project Managers to deliver complex systems. The role emphasizes ownership of solutions throughout their lifecycle and includes mentoring support teams. Candidates with a strong background in VMware and other specialist architecture skills will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking full ownership of solutions from design through prototyping, testing and implementation
- Leading the delivery of technical change and enhancements to meet evolving customer requirements
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues across the full solution lifecycle
- Providing 4th line support to live service teams, ensuring availability and resilience
- Coaching and mentoring support teams to enhance skills and capability
Key Skills:
- Extensive VMware expertise with strong knowledge of vSphere 6.7/7, ESX performance and fault resolution
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX and vSAN highly desirable
- Proven ability to produce High and Low Level Designs, BOMs and supporting documentation
- Strong background with storage technologies including Veeam, NetApp, iSCSI, FC and NFS
- Solid Microsoft stack knowledge, ideally Windows Server 2019 and MCSE
- Awareness of ISODE messaging products, SQL, Network Data Diodes and Splunk is beneficial
- If not VMware-focused, candidates with specialist architecture skills in IDAM, Active Directory, SQL, Microsoft, or Linux will also be considered
