Summary: The Infrastructure Architect role is a contract position focused on providing design and delivery capabilities within a banking environment in Manchester. My client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Solutions specialist to join a team that provide design & delivery capabilities across all pillars of the bank.
This role will involve working on a range of data centre and application projects. You will be responsible for taking ownership of all infrastructure changes, creating design documents and engaging with various teams for delivery.
Candidates need:
- Strong Solution Design and Architecture background within infrastructure
- Broad range of experience across infrastructure eg Virtualisation, Server, Storage
- Experience with Windows and Unix
- Previous experience working on migrations to cloud
- Knowledge of microservices based architecture
- A banking background is ideal but other industries are also welcome.
