Summary: We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Business Analyst to support IT infrastructure initiatives for a banking client in Sheffield and Birmingham. The role focuses on gathering requirements, analyzing infrastructure needs, and facilitating communication between business stakeholders and technical teams. The position is expected to last for at least six months and requires a strong background in banking IT infrastructure projects. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with stakeholders to capture and document infrastructure-related requirements (network, servers, cloud, data centers, etc.).
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for infrastructure delivery teams.
- Support infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, and platform transitions.
- Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Prepare documentation including business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure smooth delivery.
- Assist in risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within IT Infrastructure projects (banking domain preferred).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure components (servers, storage, cloud, networks, security).
- Experience working in large-scale banking or financial services environments.
- Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in banking IT.
