Techniche Global are supporting leading automotive manufacturer to appoint a Infotainment Validation Engineer Key responsibilities: To support the Electrical & Electronic (EE) Test team with: The validation of infotainment electrical systems, navigation and audio systems on bench and in vehicle for functional, performance and reliability to Nissan design/test standards/specifications and regulatory requirements. Interoperability testing of connected systems Creation of test plans to meet with project and design milestones Creation of testing procedures and scenarios Confirmation of vehicle spec and test parts required for test, includes arrangement of vehicle transportation when required Concern severity categorisation and managment. Formal reporting of test results to design sections and to upper management Support root cause investigation and data logging. Technical support and software management for manufacturing and test fleet Market investigation support on occasion Management of suppliers and guest engineers Qualifications and Experienced required: Degree qualified in a relevant discipline. Have relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development, completing a minimum of two vehicle developments, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experienc Knowledge of software programming and software quality assurance. Have experience of software application into vehicle ECUs in the manufacturing environment flashing, coding/configuration and calibration. Have experience of risk assessing software modifications and develop appropriate test plans Have experience of validation multiple software versions simultaneously and adapting prioritising validation activities Understand network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet). Be able to operate CANalyzer, CANoe, MATLAB software or similar for capturing data, analysis of data and preparing/executing test procedures. Operation of network analysers and communication simulation Experience of offboard telematics systems including servers, network providers and commercial software applications Be able to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections. Be able to demonstrate and have practical experience in problem solving tools and techniques e.g Kepnar Tregoe / SixSigma Be conversant with digital oscilloscopes, and basic electrical test equipment.
