Summary: The IT Project Manager (Digital Delivery) role involves overseeing critical Digital & IT projects within a major infrastructure programme. The position requires managing multiple concurrent projects while ensuring successful delivery against time, cost, and quality objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Digital & IT projects from initiation through to closure
  • Develop and maintain Project Initiation Documents (PIDs), including robust planning and estimation
  • Manage full project lifecycle: design, build, test, deployment, and business readiness
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, managing dependencies and critical paths
  • Oversee third-party suppliers and delivery partners, ensuring contractual and quality standards are met
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and change requests
  • Ensure strong stakeholder engagement and communication at all levels
  • Deliver projects in line with governance, security, and regulatory frameworks
  • Provide accurate reporting to programme leadership and governance boards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned across delivery teams

  • Proven track record as an IT Project Manager delivering complex projects
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects (£50k – £1.5m+)
  • Strong understanding of project governance, planning, and controls

Location: Suffolk (Hybrid – 2–3 days on-site per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a major, complex infrastructure programme. This role will be responsible for delivering critical Digital & IT projects that enable large-scale construction and operational capabilities. You will take ownership of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring successful delivery against agreed time, cost, and quality objectives, while working across a broad stakeholder landscape including suppliers, partners, and internal teams.
