Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to define and achieve mutual understanding of project scope.
- Identify and schedule all work required to fulfill the project scope, building a detailed project plan to track progress.
- Plan projects in detail to ensure integration of all activities, identification of cross-portfolio dependencies, and understanding of critical paths and key milestones.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Policy, including review periods and quality gates.
- Identify non-people resources to maintain an accurate and affordable project budget.
- Establish a robust process for risk and issue management, instigating mitigation actions and identifying contingency plans.
- Manage an effective project reporting structure to measure and track project performance.
- Lead the procurement schedule, ensuring the right suppliers are engaged for each project.
Key Skills:
- Third level degree or postgraduate qualification in Technology, Finance, or Business Management.
- Project Management Certification - Prince 2, PMP.
- 3-5 years' experience as an Intermediate level IT project manager with diverse stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with formal methodologies (PRINCE2, ITIL or equivalent) and best practices for IT project delivery.
- Successful implementation of two IT projects in large, complex Enterprise-level organizations within budget and timelines.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies/products (particularly Cisco), Microsoft Azure/O365, and general understanding of Enterprise IT Architecture.
- Experience leading collaboration across organizational boundaries with diverse internal partners.

IT Project Manager - Belfast - £400-450 per day (Outside IR35) Market leading Telecommunications organisation requires an experienced Senior Project Manager to join them on a contract basis. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing of a set of supplier, stakeholder and customer relationships while assisting with implementation of a new billing solution project that will involve data migration and some UAT management. This role is offered on a Hybrid basis, with onsite attendance 2 days per week in Belfast. Responsibilities of role
- Working collaboratively, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels within the organisation, to define and achieve mutual understanding of the project scope
- Work with the team to identify and schedule all the work required to fulfil the scope, building a detailed project plan to track progress
- Plan the project(s) in sufficient detail to ensure integration of all activities, identification of cross-portfolio dependencies, and understanding of critical paths and key milestones
- Ensure compliance with Quality Policy including review periods and quality gates
- Ensure non-people resources are identified so that the project budget will be accurate and remain affordable
- Ensure there is a robust process in place for risk and issue management instigating mitigation actions and identifying contingency plans to keep the project on track
- Using appropriate systems, tools and techniques, establish and manage an effective project reporting structure to measure and track project performance
- Leading our procurement schedule, making sure the right suppliers are engaged for each project
Essential Candidate Requirements
- Third level degree, or postgraduate qualification in a Technology, Finance or Business Management related discipline
- Project Management Certification - Prince 2, PMP
- 3-5 years' experience as an Intermediate level IT project manager in a role that involved dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders - This should include Experience of working with formal methodologies (PRINCE2 ,ITIL or equivalent) and other aspects of current best practice for the delivery of IT projects and services
- Experience of successfully implementing two (2) IT projects in large and complex Enterprise level organisation(s) within budget and defined timelines
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies/products (Particularly Cisco), Microsoft Azure/0365 and good general understanding of Enterprise IT Architecture
- Experience of leading collaboration across organisational boundaries with diverse groups of internal partners to deliver IT change.
