Summary: The role of IT (EUD) Technician involves providing operational support for ICT systems, focusing on Windows 10, laptops, smartphones, and desktops. The technician will manage incidents and requests, implement service improvements, and ensure high standards of customer service. Flexibility and a full UK driving licence are essential due to the field-based nature of the position. The role is initially for 6 months with potential extensions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-line support for Windows 10 systems, smartphones, laptops, and desktops across multiple sites.
  • Effectively handle and resolve incidents, requests, and problems within the required service levels.
  • Identify, propose, and implement service improvements to enhance the overall support experience and operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain clear and concise procedure documentation and a knowledge base for troubleshooting and common technical issues.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained, with a focus on providing a positive user experience.
  • Travel to various locations as needed, work flexible hours (including unsocial hours), and be prepared to work in remote locations.
  • Maintain strong communication with colleagues and end-users, ensuring clear, timely, and accurate updates on incidents, requests, and changes.

  • Proven experience providing technical support for Windows 10, smartphones, laptops, and desktops in an operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve incidents and requests, providing timely solutions to technical issues.
  • Experience in identifying areas for improvement within ICT services and implementing enhancements to optimize service delivery.
  • Experience in creating procedure and knowledge base documentation to ensure effective issue resolution and service consistency.
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service with a customer-first mindset.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across various locations as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
