Summary: The Information Technology Architect is responsible for shaping the definition, structure, classification, and flow of information across the organization. This role ensures that data is trusted, discoverable, governed, and ready for AI applications, supporting various outcomes in underwriting, claims, risk, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define enterprise metadata, taxonomy, and data classification frameworks.
- Standardise business definitions for consistency and discoverability.
- Embed privacy, sensitivity, and handling rules into information assets.
- Design and document end-to-end information flows across systems and domains.
- Maintain data lineage and dependencies.
- Ensure flows support operations, analytics, and AI use cases.
- Develop high-level information models aligned to core insurance domains.
- Ensure consistency across platforms, datasets, and products.
- Support data quality and observability frameworks.
- Embed GDPR, retention, and lifecycle policies into information design.
- Align classification with security and compliance requirements.
- Support Data Governance Group and audit obligations.
- Define standards for creation, usage, retention, and disposal.
