Detailed Description From Employer:

About the role We’re assembling a small, hand-picked team of seasoned security operations professionals to capture and structure real-world security workflows for a frontier AI research client.

Who we’re looking for 5+ years of professional experience in security operations / SOC / information security. Hands-on operational experience is the priority. Background as a SOC analyst or equivalent — monitoring dashboards, triaging alerts, handling incidents, watching the network day to day (e.g. flagging phishing / suspicious clicks). Experience gained at a security vendor, an MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider), or the in-house / internal security team of a large enterprise. Extremely detail-oriented and comfortable being deep in the weeds on careful, repetitive, manual logging work.

Not a fit for this role This is information security / security-operations work specifically. It is not red teaming, penetration testing, CTF, or general offensive security. Candidates from those areas aren’t the target profile here.

Logistics & terms Location: UK-based, with work managed in the UK. (UK basing is a firm requirement for this engagement.) Hours: Full-time, ~40+ hours/week. Willingness to do occasional weekend work when needed. Availability: Minimum 3 weeks of full-time availability; ideally a 2–3 month full-time commitment. Best suited to people who have left their previous role and can go all-in Exclusivity: This engagement is exclusive to the client, with a garden-leave period (2–3 months) following the engagement. Onboarding: Training available ahead of kickoff, especially for those new to human-data / annotation work.
