Summary: The Information Governance Officer role at a Housing Association in Greater Manchester is an 8-month fixed-term position focused on managing the Information Governance function to ensure compliance with GDPR and Data Protection legislation. The ideal candidate will be proactive and experienced in Information Governance, providing high-quality support and implementing new standards across the Trust. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a high-quality support service to enable an effective Information Governance service across the Trust, which includes Information Governance and Data Protection legislation and standards
- A continuous service review and implementation of new standards, policies, and practices across the Trust
- Support the Trust in ensuring its activities are compliant with Data Protection legislation and IG Standards
- Contribute to the effective implementation and monitoring of IG Framework, Information Governance KPIs, and the wider Information Governance plan
Key Skills:
- Extensive background in an Information Governance support role, specific hands-on experience of the full IG and DP processes
- Experience in working in a large, complex, multi-site IG environment
- Proven knowledge and experience of leading a customer focused IG support team
- A self-motivated and inquisitive individual who thrives on change
- Comfortable with a high level of autonomy and potential uncertainty
- Experienced in stakeholder management up to board level
