Summary: The role involves supporting the migration of Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1 to the IDMC cloud solution. The candidate will be responsible for various migration activities, including setting up test servers and cleaning up the IDMC server. The position requires a strong background in Informatica PowerCenter and ETL processes. The role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid arrangement in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backup the Informatica version 8.1.1 Repository.
  • Set up a test server using the production server image.
  • Create Informatica mappings on the cloud platform.
  • Perform cleanup on the IDMC server.
  • Incorporate all current sequence IDs from Production into the Test Repository.
  • Create metadata on the IDMC server.
  • Verify the migrated repository.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Experience in Informatica PowerCenter upgrade migration.
  • Experience in Informatica PowerCenter software installation - Multiple versions.
  • Ability to spec out hardware requirements.
  • Experience in developing ETL processes end-to-end in Informatica.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, transformations, mappings, workflows.
  • Ability to apply best practices to ETL development, testing, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of SQL (standard).
  • Ability to provide training to the City's Informatica PowerCenter administrator/developers(s).
  • Experience in older versions of Informatica PowerCenter such as 8.1.1 (highly desired).
  • Informatica Certified Professional (highly desired).
  • Experience with performance tuning (highly desired).

Position overview / Statement of Work

This resource will support the migration activities from power center to cloud.

Work activities:

  1. Informatica 8.1.1 (current)
  • Backup the Informatica version 8.1.1 Repository.
  1. Set up test server
  • Use image production server to establish test server.
  • Create informatica mappings on cloud platform.
  1. Cleanup
  • Cleanup on IDMC server.
  • Incorporate all current sequence ids from Production into Test Repository.
  • Creation of the meta data on the IDMC server.
  • Verify the Migrated Repository,

Skills/experience of the assigned staff:
