Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud hosting, professional services, and supplier and customer contracts.
  • Supporting IP protection, licensing, and enforcement, ensuring proprietary technology and data products are safeguarded.
  • Assisting with data processing agreements, privacy policies, and compliance with UK GDPR and related frameworks.
  • Helping the business navigate emerging maritime technology regulations, export controls, and defence sector compliance.
  • Collaborating with Product Development, Software, R&D, and commercial teams to provide pragmatic legal guidance.
  • Supporting company secretarial and governance activities, including policy reviews and compliance documentation.
  • Staying up to date with legal and regulatory developments in technology, IP, IT and data law.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (3-5 years PQE) or equivalent jurisdiction.
  • Solid understanding of commercial, IT and intellectual property law.

Description Responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud hosting, professional services, and supplier and customer contracts.
