Summary: The IMS Database Administrator will manage and optimize IBM IMS database environments, ensuring their availability, integrity, and performance. This role involves supporting application development teams and implementing database solutions that meet both business and technical requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade IMS database systems in mainframe environments.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies.
  • Perform routine database maintenance, including reorganizations, backups, and recovery processes.
  • Design and implement IMS database structures (DBDs, PSBs, ACBs) to meet application requirements.
