Summary: My client in London is seeking an Improvement & Recovery Programme Manager to support the Council's improvement and recovery programme on a contract basis. The role involves managing existing governance programs, developing business cases, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement. The position offers predominantly remote working arrangements and requires deep experience in local authority transformation. The contract is inside IR35 with a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development of a programme to develop future options for libraries.
- Programme Management of existing Governance Programme.
- Developing any business cases needed.
- Mobilising programme ensuring specific tasks are progressed and change is implemented.
- Develop appropriate reporting whilst managing risks and issues.
- Ensure focus on impact and benefits.
Key Skills:
- Deep experience in Local Authority transformation and recovery.
- Excellent Project / Programme management fundamentals (Prince2, etc.).
- Outstanding Stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrable history of leading significant transformations and recovery programmes.
Salary (Rate): £600 per day

The role will support the Council with additional Programme Manager Capacity to continue the delivery of the improvement and recovery programme.
