Summary: The role of IFS Functional Consultant (Finance) involves supporting the implementation of IFS Cloud as part of a digital transformation initiative for a leading manufacturing group. The consultant will analyze business requirements, design finance solutions, and configure IFS Cloud Finance modules while ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory standards. This position requires strong functional expertise in finance processes and hands-on experience with IFS Cloud or recent IFS Applications versions. The assignment is for 12 months and is classified as outside IR35, with regular travel to overseas sites required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance workstream in the IFS Cloud implementation project, ensuring alignment with business goals and global finance standards.
  • Conduct business process analysis to capture requirements across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash & Bank Management.
  • Design and configure IFS Cloud Finance modules, ensuring seamless integration with Procurement, Projects, HR, and Supply Chain processes.
  • Support data migration and validation activities for financial master and transactional data.
  • Develop and execute test scripts for functional and integration testing (SIT/UAT).
  • Collaborate with technical consultants to deliver reporting, analytics, and integrations (e.g., external tax, payroll, or banking systems).
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to finance users and ensure documentation of configurations and processes.
  • Participate in cutover planning, go-live support, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and configuration improvements within IFS Cloud.

Key Skills:

  • ERP Finance functional consulting experience, with at least one IFS Cloud or IFS Apps 10/11 implementation.
  • Strong functional knowledge across financial processes: General Ledger, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, and Project Accounting.
  • Understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial controls.
  • Experience with IFS configuration tools, workflows, and Lobby design.
