A well-established charitable organisation is seeking an ICT Support Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional with strong technical troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused approach to support users across the organisation.
Your new role
Working closely with colleagues and external IT support providers, you will provide day-to-day ICT support, ensuring users have the systems, equipment, and access required to work effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing first-line support for Microsoft 365, hardware, software, and general IT queries.
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access requests within Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Coordinating laptop builds, configurations, and equipment handovers for new starters and leavers.
- Supporting the setup, administration, and maintenance of mobile phones and related devices.
- Assisting with telephony systems, including user setup, extensions, voicemail, and call routing.
- Maintaining accurate records of ICT assets, equipment, and user allocations.
- Liaising with external support providers to escalate and resolve technical issues.
- Supporting software updates, system improvements, and device deployments.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an ICT Support, IT Support, or Service Desk role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and account management.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and user access issues.
- Knowledge of new starter and leaver processes, including device setup and collection.
- Experience supporting mobile devices and telephony systems.
- Knowledge of ICT security best practice, including MFA and access management.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
