Key Responsibilities:
- Administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL and MariaDB databases.
- Optimization of database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and configuration settings.
- Implementation and management of high availability and replication solutions for databases.
- Backup and recovery management to ensure data integrity and security.
- Monitoring and analyzing system performance to identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues.
- Assistance in planning and executing database migration projects.
- Management and configuration of the Apache web server to support database-driven web applications.
- Development and maintenance of scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Collaboration with developers and other IT teams to optimize database solutions.
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operational manuals.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in PostgreSQL and MariaDB administration on Linux.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and performance tuning.
- Experience with configuration and management of Apache web servers.
- Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Python, Perl) and automation tools.
- Experience with high availability solutions (e.g., Patroni, Galera Cluster) and replication mechanisms.
- Knowledge of backup strategies and disaster recovery.
- Good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and in a structured manner.
- Certifications such as PostgreSQL Certified DBA or MariaDB Certified Database Administrator are a plus.
- Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
