Summary: The IBMi Specialist role involves providing high-level expertise in IBMi systems to support large-scale migration projects and operating system upgrades. Key Responsibilities:

• Build new LPARs and support large-scale service migrations across regions.
• Perform operating system upgrades, including pre-requisite tasks and verification.
• Configure and support third-party IBMi projects as per business requirements.
• Learn and support HSBC's internal start-up, shut down, and role swap procedures.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams globally.

Key Skills:

• High-level technical knowledge of IBMi Operating System and OS/400 components.
• Experience with IBMi third-party projects such as Connect: Direct, IWS, and PowerHA.
• Proficient in scripting and coding in languages like IBMi Control Language, RPG, and Ansible.
• Ability to troubleshoot job failures and perform system backups.
• Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work with global teams.
