Summary: The IBM DB2 - AWS Data Warehouse Administrator role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing IBM DB2 Warehouse, particularly in AWS environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer IBM DB2 Warehouse in AWS
- Manage database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and administration
- Support data warehouse migration and data validation
- Optimize SQL performance, indexing, and query execution
- Support ETL processes and work with DataStage and Cognos
- Implement backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies
- Monitor and optimize database performance in cloud environments
- Provide documentation, troubleshooting, and operational support
- Utilize AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Handle large-scale batch and reporting workloads
Key Skills:
- 8+ years as a DB2 DBA or 3+ years supporting IBM DB2 Warehouse
- Hands-on experience with IBM DB2 Warehouse in AWS
- Strong SQL skills with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience with ETL processes, DataStage, and Cognos
