Summary: The IAM Specialist role involves managing Identity & Access Management (IAM) processes within a regulated environment, focusing on access provisioning and governance controls. The position is a contract until November 30, 2026, based in Manchester with a hybrid working arrangement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Identity & Access Management (IAM) principles, controls, and best practices.
  • Oversee access provisioning and management processes in a regulated environment.
  • Execute periodic access reviews, certification campaigns, and remediation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with IAM-related policies, including MFA, SSO, and password controls.
  • Streamline operational processes through technology and automation.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to process, risk, and control.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of IAM principles and best practices.

Role Title: IAM Specialist

Duration: contract to run until 30/11/2026

Location: Manchester. Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

Rate: up to £414 p/d Umbrella inside IR35

Technical Knowledge & Experience

Experience in the following technical and professional areas is essential:

  • Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) principles, controls, and best practices.
  • Experience in access provisioning and access management processes in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of Segregation of Duties (SoD) risks and access governance controls.
  • Experience executing periodic access reviews, certification campaigns, and remediation activities.
  • Familiarity with IAM-related compliance and policy requirements, including MFA, SSO, and password controls.
  • Awareness of automation, with the ability to streamline operational processes through technology.
  • Strong process, risk, and control mindset, with the ability to identify issues and drive them through to closure.

The following experience is desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience working within Wealth Management or financial services environments.
  • Experience supporting client onboarding programmes involving high-volume account migrations.
  • Exposure to entitlement reporting and group-based access models across enterprise platforms.
  • Experience delivering IAM-related change programmes or migrations.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled process improvements in operational support functions
